About ESL Classics:

ESL Classics is a theme and grammar-based series that uses 18 songs to teach English. Each song deals with a different theme and a different aspect of grammar.  New words are presented thematically.  This creates a context in which the words are more meaningful and easier to remember.

Scientific research has shown that retention of material in the long-term memory can be achieved by building connections in different parts of the brain.  ESL Classics helps with visual memory and auditory memory practice activities. You will make associations between what you see in the video and what you hear in the song.

There is also the memory associated with emotions.  It is not unusual for people to forget the details of what happened in any given situation.  However, it is rare that a person will forget how he or she felt in any given situation. In fact, how you feel about learning English at this moment is one of the most important determinants of your success. Motivated learners are willing to dedicate more time to practice activities.  Motivation is the key to successful learning.
